Very committed to getting the job done on time.
This is a late review but I like to check everything is ok and still working after a long time.
Price
Very fair and set in stone at the start of the job / quote (never asked for extra during job)
Passed trade discounts for parts onto the customer so saved money
Quotes I had previously from other companies had added a lot of money on to the materials.
Payment schedule to suit you. Seemed fairly flexible and no demands for all the money up front
Quality
Been done for a couple of months now and still as good as new.
Suite sourced from Victoria Plumb and all very nice. Tiles from Tile HQ, lovely look and finish.
Communication
Always available on the phone and happily took a number of calls at unsociable hours.
Very friendly approach
Came and measured up in person and helped with ideas, as I wasn’t too keen on doing all the decision making and parts picking.
Workmanship
Worked long days including weekend and bank holiday.
Very committed to getting the job done on time.
Rest of the house spotless and carpet protection used.
Left alone with keys etc at times and all ok (I’d imagine fitting bathrooms makes more money than stealing tvs)
Happily came back the next week as promised to fit two parts that hadn’t arrived on time.
A genuine 5/5. Can’t think of anything bad about the experience, and I’m a picky person.

How to Make a Bathroom Warmer When Carrying Out A Refit
This was a bathroom that lost its heat very quickly. The walls are single skin one layer of brick and have no insulation. After removing all of the bathroom suite and tiles, we then removed the plaster from the walls going back to brick.
Photos of the Bathroom Before
Below is an image of the bathroom.
All of the existing pipe work was also removed. As the floor is concrete and uneven we used a self-leveling compound to correctly level the floor
Normally plaster board would be bonded to the walls to create a flat surface for tiling. In this bathroom we used insulated plaster board on the two exterior walls. This will help to keep any heat within the bathroom. The client commented the same day the insulated plaster board was fitted to the wall (before the bathroom was finished) that the room felt warmer.

The Refitted Bathroom
The Bathroom was refitted with the following items
- P Shaped Shower Bath with Shower Screen
- Wall Mounted Exposed Thermostatic Shower
- Water Fall Effect Modern Bath and Basin Mixer Taps
- Vanity Basin with Combined Vanity Toilet
- 1200mm High Towel Warmer
- Grey Travertine Effect Ceramic Wall Tiles
- Grey Travertine Effect Ceramic Floor Tiles
Below are the images of the completed bathroom
Calculated the BTU required for the room
We used an online BTU calculator to estimate the BTU required from a towel warmer to ensure that the room can be correctly heated. We then sourced a towel warmer that exceeded this amount.
I would totally recommend Coventry Bathrooms
Having just had our bathroom totally transformed by Richard and Lee I would totally recommend Coventry Bathrooms to anyone in the Coventry area looking for a refurbished bathroom.
Initial Quote and Process
After having many other companies come round to give us quotes, we were starting to think it would be a lot more to do a bathroom than we originally thought, however as we found Coventry Bathrooms on Google and were instantly impressed with the quality of the work on their website and the excellent reviews, we took the plunge and invited Richard around for an initial quote. Richard then explained the process and discussed our initial ideas and with his vast experience of bathroom fitting soon pointed us in a more sensible option (we had originally wanted a Jacuzzi bath but weighing up the options we decided against it due to the hassle they are) and we finally came up with a solution that we were all happy with.
We did originally set a date, however due to some car issues on my side, Richard was very accommodating to push back when the money was better, there was never any hard sales or demands for money up front (unlike a lot of other companies).
They arrived on the dot when they said they would and got to work immediately. They did find some damp issues when they stripped everything back which they showed us and explained what they would do to rectify it, rather than just cutting corners and leaving it. This did extend the installation time, however Richard and the fitter Lee were very accommodating, even turning up on a Sunday to complete the job.
The payment plan was a straight forward plan where we paid at certain stages once we were happy that the stage had been completed.
Fantastic Fit and Finish
Overall it is a fantastic fit and finish and has totally transformed the bathroom from a gloomy cave to a bright modern bathroom you actually can relax in and spend some time in now.
Every stage and detail was discussed with us and if we had any queries both Richard and Lee were happy to answer. Also a special thanks to their electrician Nick (and his assistant) who installed the lights, shaver socket and extraction system.
quality bathroom fitted for a very reasonable price
Therefore if you want a quality bathroom fitted for a very reasonable price with a fantastic finish, look no further than Coventry Bathrooms. We are going to be having them back to transform our downstairs shower room and utility room early next year.

Old Bathroom with damp walls modernised and refitted
If bathroom tiles are badly fitted, not grouted correctly, the bath or shower tray is not double sealed or the silicon seal fails it is likely that water will get behind either the wall or floor tiles. In new build houses we find more often than not that the floor board around the bath / shower and toilet has some form or damp or rot. This is not visible until the bathroom and tiles are removed.
There are no visible signs of damp within this bathroom as you can see from the image below
This house had a bathroom refit by the previous owners. The new owners originally contacted us as for a new bathroom as the kitchen ceiling which is below the bathroom had received water damage. When we removed the bathroom we found that there was several failures with the previous bathroom refit.
- The waste pipe under the bath was leaking
- The silicon seal around the bath and side wall had failed.
Water Damage Created by a Badly Fitted Bathroom
Water had been seeping into areas around and under the bath for a long period of time. The plaster board wall was damp and had to be removed. The images below show the extent of the water damage created by a badly fitted bathroom
All damaged plaster board or damp areas have been removed
With all of the damage removed the next stage the walls are reboarded with plaster board and the bath is fitted against the plaster board wall and silicon sealed. This is the first seal. A bath must be double sealed to ensure that the damage created in the previous bathroom cannot happen again.

Coventry bathrooms are definitely worth talking to
I cannot praise Sean highly enough, for doing such a wonderful job fitting my new bathroom. I can safely say that from the start when Richard came and to look at the job, and being introduced to Sean as the fitter, I’ve never felt so sure that I would get the bathroom that was promised. Coventry bathrooms are definitely worth talking to, if you are looking for a new bath or shower room to be fitted.
True to the estimate for cost and time, and very clean and tidy at the end of every day.
Fantastic lads.
Michelle

Modern Refitted Bathroom With White Grey Tiles and Chrome Finish
The client wanted a new modern bathroom, with light tiles and a chrome finish.
The original floor plan design was changed and the new bathroom suite was fitted in the same location as the original items.
The main changes to the bathroom included upgrading the electric shower to a hotel style wall mounted chrome shower. All four walls and the floor fully tiled. The tile trim used was flat chrome tile trim.
The bathroom is in a home in the Longford Area of Coventry. The image below shows what the bathroom looked like prior to the work commencing.
Removing the Bathroom and Wall and Floor Tiles
After removing the original bathroom suite and tiles from the walls and floor, the water and waste pipe were fitted in the corresponding locations. The shower pipes were fitted within the wall behind the tiles. The bath was fitted and silicon sealed to the wall, creating a first seal
The photo below you can see that we changed any hot or cold water pipe from copper to chrome pipes. This was carried to the radiator feeds, the toilet feed and the hot and cold feed to the basin. The next stage we tiled the bathroom floor.
Next we tiled all four walls before fitting the shower, shower screen basin, pedestal and toilet.

I have no hesitation in recommending Coventry Bathrooms
As soon as Richard came to quote we were confident that this was the company to use, you hear so many horror stories about shoddy workmen.
He knew exactly what we wanted and we were on the same page from the very start.
Prompt and detailed quote with no hidden scary bits and always just a phone call away if we had any questions.
Once agreed the start date was adhered to and Lee began work, cannot fault this guy.Bang on time every morning, you could set your clock by him, very courteous and a very hard worker.
He is a problem solver, which is good as it makes the job run smoother.I had noticed his effection to yorkie bars but then he worked late if needed.
I have no hesitation in recommending Coventry Bathrooms to family and friends as I am confident they will deliver a top class finished product. In fact we will be calling on their services again for a downstairs wc.
Thank You Richard, Lee and the team for an excellent shower room.
Dave and Joanne Coote
