A Shower room Converted to a Bathroom in Binley Coventry

This is a home in Binley that had a bathroom that had been converted to a shower room. The clients contacted us a requested we turn it back into a bathroom. This video shows the shower room before and the bathroom after the work had been carried out.

Recommended bathroom fitter Coventry

We have just had a bathroom installed by Coventry Bathroom. I am absolutely delighted with the end result. Even though space was limited Richard came up with great suggestions and made sure we absolutely made the most of the room we had.

He offered lots of alternatives, not pushy at all in trying to “upsell” and I always felt we were getting great value for money.

The installer (also called Richard) was a first class tradesman the quality of his work was absolutely outstanding, real attention to detail and definitely no shortcuts.

The electrical work was carried out by Nick – again to a really high standard, he had to conduct some remedial work on a previous install and we are really grateful for his help.

Walk In Shower with Triton Aspirante Electric Shower

A bathroom in Allesley Park Coventry that we were invited to convert into a walk in shower. The bathroom is of a normal size measuring 190cm wide and 168cm long. A easy design to change a bathroom to a walkin shower room is to change the bath for a shower tray measuring 170cm long by 70cm, this is the same size as a bath. Then fit the basin and toilet in the original position.

The clients at this house requested they we add storage so we used a combined basin and toilet vanity unit measuring 105cm wide.

The wall tile is British Ceramic Tile Serpentine grey with a Quartz Grey Feature panel fitted centre back wall of the shower. The floor tile matches the feature wall and is quartz grey 60cm by 60cm.

The radiator feed pipes are hidden behind the wall and are changed to chrome pipes to match the chrome towel warmer.

The house has a hot water heating cylinder and is low pressure. This means it would not be suitable to install a thermostatic shower. The two options we gave the clients were

Bathroom refitted in Binley Coventry

A bathroom that we refitted in Binley in Coventry. The bathroom layout size is slightly wider than a normal bathroom at 246cm wide. When the house was first built it had a bathroom and separate toilet. Sometime in the past someone had knocked the bathroom and toilet into one large room and closed up one door.

The image below shows the bathroom as seen from the door way. IT shows the bathroom is fully tiled wall and floor. The tile is British Ceramic Tile Astbury Beige

The toilet and basin unit is a combined vanity storage unit in a P shaped. Either side the spaces between the wall and the vanity unit have been tiled to close the gap. This gives a wall to wall bathroom finish look.

The radiator (towel warmer) heating pipes come from the floor. We have changed them to chrome pipes that run directly into the bottom of the towel warmer.

This is a bathroom on the new Banner Brook Park estate in Tile hill Coventry that the owners wanted to renovate.
They gave us a list of items that are important to them in the new bathroom, they included

A larger bath allowing for easier showering and preferably an L shaped shower bath
Tiling the walls and floor in a modern tile
A large shower that can run from the combination central heating system
Pedestal style basin and modern easy clean toilet
Tile the Floor with wood effect tiles
Tile all of the walls

Bathroom design

This is the original design and layout of the bathroom.

This is the bathroom design that we put to the clients. The wall at the tap end was made straight, all of the other items remained in the same position as the original bathroom.

Shower removed and refitted as Bathroom Binley Coventry

This is a bathroom that had been converted to a shower room about 5 years ago. The home owners explained that they never enjoyed the room as a shower room and asked us to design and quote to convert it back to a bathroom.

The new Bathroom Design

We changed the layout of the shower room to what we believe would have been the orginal layout of the bathroom. The client requested a Shower bath. The new position of the bath waste and taps would be on the hallway wall. The client also requested a combination basin and toilet unit. Below is the original shower room design and the new bathroom design
