New Bathroom Fitted After Tiles Fall From Bathroom Wall
The original tiles had fallen off the wall in this bathroom. On inspection we had found that the wall had first been painted and at some stage later it had been tiled without any preparation for the tiles. The weight of the tiles pulled on the paint connected to the wall, as the paint gave way the tiles came down.
The customer decided this was a good opportunity to update the bathroom to something modern and at the same time more functional.
A single ended bath was chosen with water fall taps on the bath and basin. The electric shower was replaced with a shower that runs directly from the central heating system. The new shower system includes a thermostatic bar valve with drench shower head. The position of the shower was changed from the original position at the base of the bath to the top of the bath above the bath taps.
The existing shower curtain was switched to a fitted curved glass shower screen with attached chrome towel rail.
Both the sink and WC were replaced with similar units but in high gloss white.
The tiles are Travertine effect ceramic tile 600mm by 300 mm 8mm deep with a matching matt non slip floor tile.
The radiator was updated to a modern stylish towel warmer.
